In addition to more money in your pocket, the secondhand economy is also helpful to the sustainability of our environment. A total of 720,000 metric tons of carbon emissions have been conserved through the sales of pre-owned electronics and apparel sold on eBay.
The secondhand economy has been a boon for Gen Z. A total of 81% of Gen Zers (age 18-24) have said that buying pre-owned goods has become more common for them in 2020.
